The government has decided to request people’s representatives for necessary coordination and monitoring in prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 pandemic. A cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to request members of House of Representatives and National Assembly to coordinate in order to bring the pandemic under control.

The meeting decided to begin service and functions by following health and safety standards from September 17 instead of September 1, as decided by the July 19 meeting, in accordance with the infectious disease act, 2020.
Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Yubraj Khatiwada on Monday shared that the government has made amendment in previous arrangement regarding international commercial flights as well as other flights. With this amendment, 800 passengers could be brought instead of 500 every day.
In a press meet organized at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Minister Khatiwada said, “Non-Resident Nepalis will be allowed to come to Nepal on the recommendation of Nepali diplomatic mission in respective countries.”
Similarly, the government also decided to give permission to foreign students to come to Nepal in the condition to follow all health protocol issued by the government of Nepal. The foreign students would be allowed to come to Nepal on the recommendation of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology along with a coronavirus negative certificate of the previous 72-hour, documents of admission of the concerned educational institution.
The meeting took the decision to give permission to Nepal Medical Council to conduct Medical License examination following all public health and safety standards and the local administration would make arrangement of security including transportation for the same.
